在虚拟语气中，有一类比较 特殊的虚拟语气。这类虚拟语气一般分为两部分，一部分为虚拟语气，与事实相反；另一部分为陈述语气，用以陈述一个事实。正是因为这种虚拟与不虚拟兼而有之，一部分虚拟，一部分又跳出虚拟的圈子，故被称之为“跳层虚拟语气” 两种类型 陈述句+ or/ otherwise + 虚拟主句 I forget where I read the article, or I would show it to you now.  (由“now”可知与现在事实相反)  We didn’t know his telephone number, otherwise we would have telephoned him.
